Alberto Carmagnani

Head of CE Marketing and Small Units compliance – RINA SERVICES

Alberto Carmagnani was born in Genoa in 1981 and is graduated in naval engineering.
He has worked in the technical department of one of the world’s largest yacht manufacturers and taught at the European Institute of Design.
At RINA he is responsible for CE Marking and a point of reference in technical discussions with the Italian Administration and the European Commission.

A naval architect and CFD engineer with 20+ years experience mainly in high speed vessels. Since 2022, Design & CFD Project Coordinator at Caponnetto Hueber, heavily involved in the design and analysis of a range of hydrofoil vessels.

Christian Rößler

CEO / CTO – Aerofoils

Christian Rößler is the co-founder, CEO, and CTO of Aerofoils GmbH (founded in 2019). He studied aerospace at TUM and earned a PhD in UAV design. He led UAV research and taught aircraft design. Since 2015, he has developed hydrofoils, leading to the Audi e-tron foil, which has been on the market since 2022. He combines deep technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision to push the boundaries of electric flight on water.

Before that He was Yacht New Construction Team Leader for Italy with almost 20 years’ experience in the yacht industry; his earlier career was spent as Senior Surveyor and MLC Inspector in the Marine Sector dealing with existing ships, new buildings, offshore and equipment & components.

Daniela Dingli

Daniela Dingli is a seasoned professional in yachting, bringing over 18 years of experience in the yachting industry. She has developed extensive expertise in yacht registration under various flags, particularly Malta, the Cayman Islands, the UK, the Isle of Man, and the Marshall Islands. Her competencies also extend to aircraft registration, yacht and aircraft importations and exports, as well as crewing services, including crew certifications and payroll management.

From a young age to present day, my journey in water sports has included sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wing-foiling, surf-foiling, and now ‘assisted foiling’ with Foil Drive. My mission now is to use Foil Drive to introduce as many people as possible to the amazing sport of foiling.

Katja Berkhout

Katja Berkhout is an accomplished international executive, public speaker, and ecosystem builder with over 20 years of experience in innovation and entrepreneurship. As Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Flite, Katja has spearheaded the company’s rapid growth across the region by building a team of top talent, establishing a strong partner network of resellers and experience centres, and nurturing a passionate community of loyal customers. She also sits on Flite’s global leadership team, playing a key role in shaping the company’s worldwide strategy and vision.
Since joining Flite in 2020, Katja has been instrumental in scaling the business from a startup to a global scale-up, culminating in its acquisition by Brunswick Corporation, the world’s leading marine company, in 2023. Flite’s first product category, Fliteboard and PRO, launched in 2018 and has evolved through five series to include a diverse range of models such as Flite Air, Flitescooter, Ultra L2, and FliteLab. Kristoffer Uulas

Director of Quality and Compliance – Candela

Kristoffer Uulas has a background with DNV, where he held various positions. Most recently, he worked within DNV Maritime Advisory, focusing on smaller commercial vessels. His work aimed to bridge the gap between innovative maritime technologies and existing regulations.

Currently, Kristoffer is at Candela, leading the compliance efforts with a primary focus on achieving compliance for the Candela P12 in different national markets.

Laura Marimon Giovanetti

Senior researcher – RISE Maritime

Laura Marimon Giovannetti started working in RISE Maritime (SSPA) in October 2019. She graduated from the University of Southampton in 2013 with an MEng in Yacht and small crafts with a first class (hons) degree. She then carried on her research during her PhD based both at the University of Southampton and in the British Americas’ Cup Challenger (Land Rover BAR). She works on projects related to sport engineering, wind assisted propulsion and foiling boats.

Luca Rizzotti

President and Founder – The Foiling Organization

In 2013, Luca founded Foiling Week, the first community-based event recognized by World Sailing as a Special Event, a category representing the eight pinnacle sailing events. Under the banner of ‘We Are Foiling,’ he has created a comprehensive foiling integrated ecosystem, featuring globally recognized initiatives. As the Founder and President of the Foiling Organization, the global foiling industry and professionals’ association, Luca has played a pivotal role in developing the new Foiling Technology Pavilion at METSTRADE, the world’s largest marine B2B exhibition, and launching their Headquarters in Genoa.

Luigi Francesco Minerva

Senior Project Manager – MARIN

Luigi is a Senior Project Manager at MARIN’s Ships department. He holds an MSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University Federico II of Naples (2012). Luigi specializes in performance prediction for powering and seakeeping aspects, hull form optimization, hydrofoil projects and enjoys watersports like kite-surfing, kite-foiling and sailing.

Magnus Wikander

M.Sc. (Naval Arch.) – Head of Strategic Development, Maritime Hydrodynamics – RISE Research Institutes of Sweden

Magnus Wikander, born 1977, is Head of Strategic Development Maritime Hydrodynamics at the Maritime department (former SSPA) of RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden AB. Through international collaboration with industry, academia and the public sector, RISE ensure business competitiveness and contribute to a sustainable society. The Maritime department provides adapted solutions for a resilient and sustainable maritime future.

Magnus holds a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering with +20 years of experience from shipbuilding and shipping sector. Prior to joining SSPA in 2013, Magnus worked as Marketing and Sales Manager at FKAB (Fartygskonstruktioner AB), a Ship Design company with offices in Shanghai, Gothenburg and Uddevalla. Magnus gained much of his interest for shipbuilding when working as a project manager at the ship repair yard Ö-Varvet AB, in the archipelago on the Swedish west coast.

RISE Maritime department (former SSPA) has a long history working with the Chinese shipbuilding industry; shipyards, ship designers and ship owners. The strength lies in performance enhancement and strengthening of design. For Magnus this means frequent contact and travels all around China.

Magnus Wikander became Member of the Board of Directors of SCTC in 2017. Magnus is also the Chairman of SCTC:s Sweden-China Marine Group.

Oleksandr Muratov

Director – EBRI Global LTD / CFO – Swarmly LTD

Oleksandr Muratov, Director at EBRI Global Ltd (Cyprus) and CFO across several companies. With a maritime master’s degree, served as a navigating officer before moving into ship management and marine fuel trading. Since earning an MBA in Oil & Gas, focused on corporate operations and finance since 2020.

Oleksandr Muratov is also CFO at Swarmly Ltd (Cyprus) and finance lead across several companies. With a maritime master’s degree and an MBA in Oil & Gas, transitioned from marine operations to corporate finance. Since 2021, played a key role in the UAV/USV and defense tech industry as CFO and COO.

Oliver Pendleton

Head of Vessels – BAR Technologies

Ollie Pendleton is at the forefront of maritime innovation, specialising in foil technology for commercial and high-speed vessels. As Head of Vessels at BAR Technologies, he leads the development of cutting-edge foiling solutions, including the BARTech 30 – a foil-assisted crew transfer vessel designed for enhanced efficiency and performance, and the record-breaking 35EF electric vessel.
With a background spanning America’s Cup campaigns (AC35 & AC36), production boat design, and high-performance craft engineering, Ollie brings a unique blend of technical expertise and real-world operational insight. His work focuses on overcoming the technical, regulatory, and operational challenges of scaling foiling systems for commercial use.

Paolo Mazzucchelli

Technical Director – Navigazione Laghi

Paolo Mazzucchelli is an expert in the field of navigation and public water transportation. He currently serves as the Technical Director at Gestione Governativa Navigazione Laghi, a public entity responsible for the scheduled public transport service on Lakes Maggiore, Garda, and Como.
In his role, he is responsible for:
• Monitoring new technologies and evaluating their potential applications in navigation services.
• Supervising innovation projects to ensure they bring value to society.
• Managing technical collaborations and acquisitions.
• Liaising with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on technical and strategic matters.
With an extensive experience in the sector, holding leadership roles in the technical and administrative management of navigation on Italian lakes.
He has contributed to the strategic guidelines for fleet modernization and the design of new vessels with innovative propulsion systems, including diesel-electric ships and ferries with dual power sources.

Patrick Hemp

Technical Consultant – ICOMIA

Patrick Hemp is the Technical Director for the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) and IMEC since 2013. Many of his current duties within the two associations focus on the design, safety and construction aspects of the recreational small craft sector including its impact on the marine ecosystem.
Previous positions include being the design coordinator for the multihull company, GUNBOAT .
He is a yacht design graduate from The Landing School in Maine, USA having spent many years as professional crew upon privately owned classic sailing superyachts.
He currently lives in Cape Town, South Africa where he tries to keep up with his sons in many watersport-related activities.

Richard Forest

Owner and CEO SEAir

Engineer with a passion for innovation, after five years of technical projects switched to business and have created later two companies.
He decided to set up SEAir in 2016, with the main idea that hydrofoils could be a game-changer for powerboats.

Romain Ingouf

Technical Director – Artemis Technologies

Romain Ingouf is the Technical Director for Artemis Technologies. Managing a team of 80+ Engineers, he has over 15 years’ experience in developing new marine technologies and designing high-performance vessels.
Using his expertise gained through America’s Cup and Olympics campaigns, Romain leads the technical team, coordinating all design and engineering work on the company’s Artemis eFoiler® system and the range of groundbreaking vessels it powers.

Rowan Gyde

Project Manager – The Foiling Organization / Co-founder – Aotearoa Ocean Racing

Project manager for The Foiling Organization, bringing like minded foiling technology organisations and individuals together to promote and grow the industry.
In addition, as co-founder with offshore sailing legend Conrad Colman, recently launching New Zealand’s newest national sporting team, Aotearoa Ocean Racing to take on ‘The Ocean Race’ in 2027, sailing’s toughest challenge.

Stefano Pagani Isnardi

Head of Research @ Confindustria Nautica

PhD in Engineering, in 2009 he joins Confindustria Nautica – Italian Marine Industry Association, to manage technical issues and market intelligence reports.
He sits on several WGs in ICOMIA (Chair of the SYDivision and Trade and Market Intelligence; Vice Chair of the Technical Committee), EBI (Executive Committee) and ISO (TC8/SC12 “Large Yachts”).

Ulrich Heinemann

Owner of Heinemann-Yacht-Assessment

Born in Germany in 1953, Ulrich (Uli) is actually Director and Chief Executive at his own Heinemann-Yacht-Design Studio in Aachen, Managing Director of the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI) and Member of the German Boat- and Shipbuilding Association (DBSV). He was Technical Director of the German America’s Cup Team at 12-m European and Worlds in 1988.
